One side story

 When all this drama between Alicia and Violet exploded in early September 2024, it seemed very strange for Alicia to have made a subject about her private life public.

It was quite clear that Alicia was furious with Violet, which is quite reasonable considering the situation, but the fact that all the focus was only on Violet and the terms that were used by Alicia made me think about this situation and the motivations behind it.

To begin with, since only Alicia spoke out about this, we should take it with a certain amount of suspicion, since we only know the side of the story that she outlined and that it was convenient to portray Corey as a poor “victim” since at the beginning of the year he was in such a bad mental state that he canceled a tour that was going to happen at the beginning of the year.

However, since Slipknot's own fan base knows that Corey doesn't have a very favorable back history, and because of that, no one took Alicia's version seriously. And the way the situation was handled by Alicia herself is not so good for her, because besides having made a private matter public, she decided to be petty and childish by creating a discount coupon for Cherry Bombs merch that was "violetistrash” and she assumed that she was being petty, besides having called the girl a “failed homewrecker” and that she would do anything to destroy her career.

Well, things didn't turn out as well as Alicia must have thought they would, since most Slipknot fans don't care about this kind of drama, and many people found her stance quite questionable to the point that they thought she was being deluded about Corey being innocent in this situation. Despite her insisting on this story, she only stopped when apparently Melissa Fehn, Chris' ex-wife, responded to a tweet from Alicia saying that she had no moral authority to call anyone a homewrecker since she would have done something much worse compared to Violet and since then Alicia has never spoken about it again.

And let's be honest, Alicia's behavior already says a lot about the kind of person she is. If, simply because she is the wife of someone well-known in entertainment, especially in metal, she already acts this way, imagine if she were someone really relevant.

There are those who say that Corey did in fact cheated on her, but that under these conditions, if Alicia were to ask for a divorce, the one who has the most to lose here is her. After all, she only got a little more media attention since she started a relationship with Corey. In addition to the media, she managed to be an opening act for other artists and at the Download Festival in 2023.
